The Yellow Cloud

The Yellow Cloud was designed by the enigmatic Prince Rogers Nelson.

Prince Roger Nelson (the artist formerly known as Prince.) was a native of Minnesota and comes from a line of musicians and performers. His father and mother was in a jazz band, with his mother as the vocalist.

Prince (or whatever his name is now) is a very talented guy, teaching himself not only the guitar, but also the piano and drums at a very tender age, and during his teenage years recorded his first album.

Prince is a keen student of rock music, and is influenced by the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix and Little Richard, to name a few. As you might expect, his music is based on music like rhythm and blues, soul and funk.

It is actually quite expected of Prince to design his own guitar, since he had total control over his musical career, being a musician, a manager, a director and a producer all at once. His guitars are designed to serve as props, complementing his stage sets and costumes, as well as his image.
